New PowerPod Driver Coming Soon?

Look for Jim Flood, who invented the popular Orizaba Power Pod driver - touted as the industry's first anti-slice drive - more than two decades ago, to bring a new version of the Power Pod to market soon. Flood, who now works for Tiger Shark, is one of the golf industry's great inventors. Those inventions include the graphite shaft that led to founding of Aldila shaft company in 1972 and the Basakwerd putter that featured a shaft on the opposite end of the putter blade to help players from pushing their putts. Flood also was one of the founders of Odyssey Golf, now owned by Callaway Golf Co. (NYSE: ELY).

The golf industry, perhaps now more than ever, needs Jim Flood.
