New SuperStroke Slim Grip Scores Top Finish At Shell Houston Open

April 6, 2010

The PGA Tour player currently ranked 58th in the FedEx Cup standings put a new SuperStroke Slim putter grip into play for Friday's round at the Shell Houston Open, helping the player to a tied for 11th finish.

The former Duke University graduate who ranks 7th in putting average on the PGA Tour improved his putting stats from the first round and catapulted himself into the lead on Saturday with the help of the new oversized putting grip. He finished the event ranked T12 in Putts Per Round and earned $133,400 after shooting 7-under par.

"It is always great to see a pro switch to our product in mid-event and start climbing the leader board with our product," said Tiger Shark President Dean Dingman. "We are very proud to have one of the great putters on the tour decide they need a little additional help on the greens. We know we can help any golfer from breaking down their wrists during the putting stroke and it's performances like this that prove it to the masses."

Jumbo grips reduce wrist breaks and enhances a pendulum stroke, and they are also proven to reduce grip pressure and keep the putter head square. Extensive testing has shown that the SuperStroke requires up to 32% less grip tension and represents a significant improvement over conventional putter grips. Other benefits include natural balance and set up, less putter head rotation, accurate smooth putting stroke, improved ball roll and greater distance control.

The SuperStroke Slim is a midsize version of the jumbo grip that is showing up on the professional tours. The Slim is 18% smaller than the SuperStroke Fatso designed to provide more weight and a greater feel for longer putts in the hands through the putting stroke.
• New Slip-On Design - Both the SuperStroke Fatso Lite and the SuperStroke Slim saved over half the weight over the previous SuperStroke models by utilizing Slip-On Technology.
• Non-Tapered Design Patent - SuperStroke's patented non-taper design in both models allows for finger tip placement on opposing sides of the shaft, keeping the putter face square and dramatically improving feel for distance control.
• Multi-Material Construction - SuperStroke's Proprietary Polyurethane is fused with a patented foam underlisting in both the Fatso and the Slim, making for a long lasting and extremely shock absorbent, non-slip surface.
• USGA Approved Dimensions: 10.5 inches long, 1.3 Inches in Diameter, Core Size - .580 Weight - 115 grams
• Available Colors: Red/Black, Blue/Black and White/Black.
• Retails for $19.99
